Recently poker players could be found at the Best Bet Poker Room in Jacksonville, FL. for the CPPT to play in a 13 event series highlighted by a $1500 Main Event. With the minimum age requirement being 18 in Florida to play poker, the Best Bet poker room also brought in a lot of action from the racing/gambling crowd. If you’ve played cash games or tournaments in regular casinos you might notice a bit more money being thrown around in a setting like this than normal. The $2/$5 games played like a $1/$2 and the dedication to seeing a flop in the tournaments was quite apparent. Also, there was a wide range of cash games available all day long. So, for the professional poker players, this is a great place to make some money, and for the recreational crowd this poker room also brought other great reasons to play here. Best Bet has a sushi bar right in the middle of all the action, wide array of food on their menu, massage therapists regularly available, combine that with the friendly staff and one can’t go wrong. The tournaments were well organized, and the floor kept a good eye on the cash games to make sure they were filled and running smoothly. If you were lucky enough you could even get a golf cart ride from the parking lot to the front door, so from the parking lot thru to the inside the customer service here was great. The only thing you would have to worry about is finding a place to stay because there is no attached hotel to this poker room.
If you were able to final table an event during the series, you got a little gift bag and a chance to win some hardware. While here we were able to get some shots of players wearing our BetOnDrew.com t-shirts, along with some pics of Team Pros for Heads Up Poker Gear and Tournament Poker Edge.
If you happen to bust out of a tournament or finish a cash game sooner than planned, the Jacksonville Beach is a great place to go rest your mind and chill out for awhile. With spacious beach areas, bikes to rent and ride all over, and lots of nice boardwalk bars there is always something to do.
Here are some other pictures for your viewing pleasure. Thanks for being a part of BetOnDrew.com.
